WHERE TO FIND PEACE!
I have had some friends in the years behind. Whenever they were troubled and felt dejected, they will go into heavy consumption of alcohol and smoking. After taking such heavy doses, they’ll go home at night and fall asleep be it in their living rooms. Their problems will seem to leave them for a moment, but will await them at the dawn of the day. They didn’t know how to deal with their troubled minds. They just to cover them up, but sooner or later the troubles will resurface again.
Friends do not run away from problems. Only cowards do. What you fail to deal with today will certainly spring up again tomorrow or even in the lives of your children.
Sometime ago, I use to believe that only rich people are the happiest and most peaceful human beings, but time proved me wrong. I have found out during counseling sessions, many of the people showing up all come from one well-to-do backgrounds or the other.
Of late I have realized that the happiest of people are not those who have everything but those who the best out of what they have.
Where therefore can one find PEACE?
Let me first of begin by stating the meaning of peace:
Peace is not when one is rich and own properties.
Peace is not in a high profile career
Peace is not in academic soundness
Nor is it in any geographical, ethnic or cultural backgrounds
Peace is not the absence of problems; rather it is the happiest (satisfactory) state of mind irrespective of what you have or what you are going through. It is being contented with what you have.
Peace is when you are faced with opposition and yet you are in control, because you refuse to give up.
Irrespective of your personality, there’s only source where one can obtain peace so easily. It is ONLY in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Some singles have thought when they get married and settled down then shall they have peace. Sooner or later their dreams turn out into nightmares. It was not the way they had envisaged.
Some thought when they’ll have money they’ll live peacefully.
It is simple; you can be rich, possess everything and still be peaceful. It is only Christ in you that can guarantee all these.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let be afraid (John 14:27).
These things I have spoken unto you, that I you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).
It takes a man with peace to walk on troubled waters and yet be happy. Perhaps you have been living your life without peace. Every wind of trouble bombards you from every angle. Friends, there’s still hope for you. You may not fully understand I am talking about until you experience it. It is not as world gives.
Please pray this simple prayer with all sincerity of heart.
Dear Jesus, I know you died on the cross for my sake.
I am a sinner. Please pardon me.
Come into my heart and give me peace.
Be the Lord and Savior of my life.
Thank you for saving me. I know I am saved, in Jesus name.
If you prayed the above prayer sincerely then you’ll experience tremendous peace flooding your heart right now. You feel as though some heavy burden has been lifted from your shoulder.
